Gay weddings. Do gay male and female couples have different wedding ideas?

Am studying wedding planning and want to get a feel as to whether gay male couples and gay female couples have different ideas about how they would like their day to be. Do men want to go for a more traditional feel more so than women? Would the girls both wear wedding gowns? I appreciate everyone is different but any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! I've been to several civil partnerships and most were different. My own, was quiet (and obviously in my opinion the best) and others were massive affairs.

I suspect we're the same as the straights.Gay weddings. Do gay male and female couples have different wedding ideas?
My partner would probably wear pants, shirt and wasitcoat, whilst I would wear something feminine. But she would carry, say, a single flower and wear accessories so she doesn't look too butch. Because religion is banned from the service content, we would look towards embracing the ';different'; element of it by doing something which reflects this. We wouldn't want to try copying a traditional, straight marriage, but would choose something which expresses who we are.
Well, most gay in my country prefer non-traditional weddings. Since gay weddings are usually consists of friends and co-workers instead of families, so there is not really a concern to have all the wedding rituals since there would be less fuss about it.

However, my friends always told me that they wish they were married in a resort or an island, instead of buildings or church. But I guess that depends on the person.
First I hate when people say civil partnership...that sounds so....formal. Anyways, I think it is really just up to the couple that you would be marrying. I don't think that woman should have to role play on who will wear the dress or the suit...if they both want to wear a gown..why not, if they both want to wear a suit...go for it! Same for men...it is really just going to be up to the couple
Don't you think it depends on the person? Some gay couples may decide to wear wedding gowns (men and women) while other gay couples might want to wear suits.

And to the person above. Sssh.
i say the option for civil partnership should be open for hetrosexual couples too... like atheists who dont go with the concept of god... and be spared of this marriage and wedding crap... its already happening in UK
