The GOP was opposed to child-bearing outside marriage and especially gay couples having children. Yet one of the top officers of the GOP, Dick Cheney, is OK with his daughter Mary having a child with her girlfriend. At the upcoming GOP convention, will Dick Cheney introduce a platform that endorses gays having children or will Mary Cheney, a GOP worker, do it instead of Dad?Is the current GOP platform opposing gay couples having children about to change ?

I think it is just a few bad apples pandering for 'evangelical' votes that refuse to tolerate gay marriages. Don't let them represent the party. Republicans and 'conservativism' have been slurred, and even conservatism has developed an unusual double meaning of both social conservatism and economic conservatism. True republicans are for low taxes and low government interference. Recently this has been betrayed.
Nope! And Mr.Cheney is a father, and representative of what many parents must face in today's world. Because his daughter has made this choice does not change the GOP platform.
